Film Dimensions Designed for A2 size paper, which measures 420mm x 594mm (16.5 x 23.4 inches). Actual roll width is often slightly wider (e.g., 440mm or 44cm) to allow for a sealed border.

Thickness Measured in microns (μm) or mil. Common thicknesses are 25, 38, 50, 75, 80, 100, 125, 150, 200, and 250 microns. Thicker films provide greater rigidity and protection.

Core Diameter Standard core sizes are typically 1 inch (25.4mm), but 2.25 inch or 3 inch cores are also used depending on the laminator type (personal vs. production).

Roll Length Common lengths are around 100m, 200m, or 300m.

Material Composition Usually composed of layers of plastic, such as PET (harder outer layer) and EVA (soft inner layer/adhesive).

Finish Available in glossy (shiny, enhances color, prone to fingerprints/glare) and matte (non-reflective, writable with ballpoint pen, hides fingerprints/scratches, reduces glare).

Type Primarily used for thermal lamination (hot melt adhesive is pre-coated and activated by heat), but cold lamination options are also available.
